Attacks on wolves have reached a new low: At least 20 wolves from Yellowstone National Park have been killed crossing the boundaries of anti-wolf states.

The wolves of Yellowstone have inspired countless wildlife lovers since their return 25 years ago. But to their enemies, they’re just another target. 15 wolves have been killed in the first couple of months of Montana’s hunting season, with another five killed in Idaho and Wyoming.
