Performing procedures on live pigs is not only inhumane but also bad medical training since pigs are poor stand-ins for humans owing to their vastly different anatomy and physiology. Using advanced human patient simulators in medical training would be a far superior way to prepare first responders to help humans in emergencies without harming animals.
