Cross-Country Emergency Rescue Brings 100 Animals to the Bay Area

Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, along with 11 other shelters, recently assisted in flying 100 animals from a critically over-burdened shelter in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With the assistance of BISSELL Pet Foundation that funded the private charter, the Bay Area animal welfare community came together on the tarmac to welcome these animals with open arms into their new California lives. But the road ahead isn't an easy one for some of these brave travelers.
Caring for these at-risk lives isn’t possible without the generosity of supporters like you. From Willy, a Chihuahua mix who needs a damaged eye removed, to Otis, a young hound suffering from skin and upper respiratory infections, ARF’s team is working hard to get these dogs healthy, happy, and into loving homes. Will you make a gift today to ensure ARF can continue to provide compassionate care for animals in need and respond to emergency rescue efforts?
Kirk's Happy Ending

You've probably heard all about Kirk — he's a senior pit bull mix who spent 65 weeks with ARF. Over the past year he has celebrated his 12th birthday, been featured on the news, and starred in all kinds of promotions. We're happy to announce that he finally found his perfect match! At many small, municipal shelters around the country, dogs like Kirk might not receive the time and resources they need to find a forever home. But your support helps every dog and cat get the happy ending they deserve.
Kirk’s story is just starting. His adopter already told us, "I am grateful for having Kirk in my life." Do you have an ARF-adopted pet? We’d love to hear about how they impact your life – and we’d especially love to see those super-cute photo updates as well!
