It's almost summer ...

... I mean, it’s felt like summer in Maine so far, but the calendar start of the warm season is on Sunday. So while the temperatures are heading higher, Maine’s economy is still struggling to fill work vacancies in the restaurant industry. Shipping is another industry that's still slowing down, and experts say that’s holding back the economy.

And an interesting read from my digital colleague Esta Pratt-Kielley on the evolution of Pride efforts in Ellsworth. We also looked at how underwater drones are being used to monitor lobster trap rules.

Finally a story about how non-alcoholic beverages may be growing as a trend in Australia.

Enjoy the weekend!
