As the season changes, seniors anticipate graduation, and we pass the one-year mark of the strangest and most challenging year in memory, I have been thinking a lot about milestones. For incoming students, and for continuing Eagles who have been studying remotely, there will soon be the welcome milestone of stepping onto campus in person. Seniors will take their last exams and receive well-earned congratulations from friends and family. In between, there are so many other milestones: choosing a major, locating an internship, learning how to reach out confidently for help and support, finding which of AU’s many opportunities resonate best with goals and dreams.

Each student’s experience is unique, but at its core is the AU community. Our sense of shared purpose has kept us strong throughout this past year. I am  inspired each day by the creativity, caring, commitment, and spirit of our students.  Thank you, families, for all that you do to support your students on this journey, and have a wonderful spring! Looking forward to celebrating our seniors.

CAMPUS COMES TO LIFE AS STUDENTS ARRIVE FOR MID-SEMESTER EXPERIENCE

Students arrive at Letts Hall, one of several halls housing MSRE participants.

A familiar scene took place on March 4, as students started moving into residence halls. The Mid-Semester Residential Experience (MSRE) is a chance for students, many of whom had never lived on campus, to experience community in person and safely.
