Vice President, Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence

It’s already the fourth week of classes, and the pace is picking up fast. It’s not too early for students to take advantage of the many resources for support, from academic coaching to tech assistance, that are so helpful in equipping Eagles to do their best. It’s also not too early to plan ahead for Fall. For those whose students may want to live on campus, please know that the Fall 2021 room selection process is underway and information has been emailed to students. While plans for Fall 2021 are still unfolding, if you or your student have questions about life on campus this Fall, please check these helpful FAQs.

This Spring, for students who find themselves in DC, spaces on campus are open for study and fitness activities by appointment. Students, of course, must follow health and safety requirements, including masking and the new requirement of COVID-19 screening for anyone with a campus presence.

Meanwhile, events in the virtual space continue to be lively, and I’d like to call your attention to some of the events that families may find interesting. AU’s Women & Politics Institute is hosting Women on Wednesdays, a weekly discussion series focusing on women in leadership. The Sine Institute also has an active calendar of compelling seminars featuring the insights of top changemakers. Being part of the AU community means there are many opportunities to be lifelong learners, and if you find some of these topics of interest, please know you’re always welcome!
