This week ...

... our Maine Calling team had a great interview with PBS Newshour anchor Judy Woodruff. Be sure to give it a listen if you weren’t able to catch it live. PBS featured heavily in my weekly rotation with the Ken Burns documentary on Ernest Hemingway. Did anyone else find themselves trying to find a suddenly missing copy of a Hemingway book? Eventually I tracked down the short stories collection I have. Do you have a favorite Hemingway book or writing? Let us know.

It feels like the BBC is pretty reliable at taking readers and viewers to new places, and we got that this week on “the enduring allure of lost cities”, if you can’t quite travel yet, this will help.

Finally my last pick is the uptick in Lego thievery that has gotten the attention of authorities. Did any of our readers go on a Lego building spree during the pandemic, send us a pic if you’ve got a Lego build we need to see.

More next time,
