Friend,

As one of our most loyal Bitch readers, we wanted you to be the first to see the cover for the upcoming Monster issue of Bitch magazine. On newsstands in December, you can be the first to get the Monster issue by subscribing now.

When we think of monsters, we think of the people and beings who bring terror to us in the night.

The Monster issue of Bitch magazine celebrates these characters of horror canon but also brings to light that nobody is a monster. It's the systems that we should fear: Systems like the prison-industrial complex, colorism, surveillance, and others that invade our daily lives. These systems have brought real-life horrors to our world like ecological catastrophe, a global pandemic that continues to be poorly managed throughout the world, and the looming U.S. presidential election.

There may be horrors around every corner, but it's up to us to be unafraid to vanquish them. By doing so, we'll be creating a world less scary for ourselves and for all those coming after us. Do you dare? Subscribe to get the Monster issue today.

Bitch Media is an award-winning, nonprofit, feminist media outlet. We're community funded because we believe that there's no for-profit way to make truly independent, intersectional feminist media. If our work has to compete with a self-interested advertiser or a major investor, it's never going to be the kind of world-changing, movement-making, uncompromising work that needs to be done. It'll just be another contract negotiated in a patriarchal world. You like our attitude? Us too.
