Thriller Thursdays Continue with Season 4 of Prime Suspect, Remastered and in High Definition

Helen Mirren stars as Jane Tennison, a keen detective who battles to prove herself in the male-dominated environment of London's Metropolitan Police Force. This Thursday, a newly promoted Detective Superintendent Tennison must spearhead a number of different cases, including the disappearance of a young child and the possibility of a serial sex offender at-large.

Pianist Aaron Diehl Showcases His Virtuosic, Genre-Defying Sound on Front Row Washington

This Monday features a solo performance at the Phillips Collection by Aaron Diehl, whose musical accolades include a European tour with Wynton Marsalis and performances with the New York Philharmonic. Diehl weaves through several styles with performances of pieces by Bach, Thelonious Monk, Sergei Prokofiev, and others.

WETA in the Community: Check Out the PBS American Portrait Mural in Columbia Heights

If you're in the Washington, D.C. area, be sure to check out the new #AmericanPortraitPBS mural in Columbia Heights. The mural, painted on the façade of project partner The Dance Institute of Washington, will be on display on the organization’s 14th Street building until May 2021.

The Time Abe Lincoln Argued a Case at the Supreme Court

While most Abe Lincoln fans are aware that our tallest president was also a self-taught lawyer (and a successful one, at that!), it is less well-known that Lincoln actually argued a case before the United States Supreme Court in 1849. While the facts of the case itself aren't particularly noteworthy, the case did represent the beginning of Lincoln's adversarial relationship with Chief Justice Roger Taney.
