I love stories ...

... that take you places. To that end, I’m so pleased that our Maine Public News team has continued to take us places with their stories, including a look at what it takes to get COVID-19 vaccines to the Cranberry Islands by Patty Wight. It really highlights some of the work Mainers are doing to help us get through the pandemic and what that experience is like for residents on the islands.

Another great story is from our partners at the BBC on the unique recipe to produce a special type of incense from Bhutan. We all have our little rituals (like reading The Ten?), and during the pandemic those moments are especially significant. I’ll just share my mother introduced me to great incense after she visited a Japanese temple. I’ve sought out that type of incense ever since. The smell, the wafting smoke, it definitely evokes a mood, as does this article.

Finally, a conversation from our friends at Here & Now explores what email does to us at work and offer what might happen if emails went away, or at least reduced. If they went totally away you might not get cool newsletters like The Ten after all.

Thanks for reading and catch you next week!
