… for Mark Simpson this week as he gets a little R&R. I’m usually the man behind the curtain, so to speak, putting this newsletter together and getting it placed in your mailboxes at the designated time Friday mornings.

I’m so pleased that we get to share news of Cobscook Shores, the recreation project taking place far Down East. That’s a special place for many, including my family — we’ve camped on the bay for years, and vacationed on Campobello when our daughter, Molly, was less than a month old. I’m not sure the border agent had ever seen an international traveler so young! The development is sure to bring some well-deserved attention to a beautiful region.

There’s also the “evergreen” seasonal gardening show on Maine Calling that should provide plenty of project ideas this weekend. I try and take notes about what I can do to improve my landscaping, but alas, my thumbs are at best a pale shade of greenish-brown.
